It has been almost three years since we started the project…which has culminated in “The Journey Home”, our debut album. The feelings are fresh. It has been a journey of love – hard work – and sacrifice.
We hope everyone that listens will enjoy each and every track. And so appreciate those who have helped us along the way.
Axle Creek, a modern classic rock and country band, announced they received an Online Film award for “Best Music Video” on Saturday night, January 17, 2015 at the film festival that took place at the Infinity Center in Salt Lake City, Utah.
The video and song, which focus on the sacrifices the men of the United States military make to keep the United States free, was shown at the event with other productions.
As we get closer to our debut album launch, it has been helpful to leverage the Soundcloud, allowing potential fans and reviewers a peek into our album, “The Journey Home”. I have a hobby…it may even be a talent. That is, I like to photograph what I think is beautiful as I walk by. That is, if I have a camera.
The past few days have been extremely beautiful in the mountains of Utah. The leaves are finally changing or simply have disappeared.
I reviewed several firms. Each one had their own twist to the digital distribution paradigm.
I thought, even though I may not use the feature, that the ability to not only upload songs, but also be able to determine price and when the songs appeared in the digital stream was important. It also occurred to me that setting a pre-sale for the launch is a good idea.
Today is a big day. We have finally arrived at our first release date. It is both exciting and stressful. The project, “The Journey Home”, has been a journey in and of itself. We have faced multiple challenges to get it finished.
The new website has been turned on…or in reality, it has moved over from the test site. The new site has a lot more functionality, including a Woo Commerce eCommerce solution, which we think is pretty cool.
Went to the 2014 Songwriters Summit at The Depot in Salt Lake City, Utah. Sponsors BMI,103.5 The Arrow and FM 100.3 did a fantastic job in putting it all together. The event featured singer/songwriters, audio engineers expressing their views on the industry — songwriting, producing and distribution.
